Where to find the best brunch in London
Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love brunch? In the glorious part of the day between breakfast and lunch, brunch never disappoints. London is filled with places to dig into this yummy mid-morning feast. But where can you find the creme de la creme of brunches? It was a tough task, but we’ve listed the five best brunch spots in town.
Dehesa
Unwind in the calm dining room area of Dehesa and enjoy a Spanish-inspired brunch that tops anything that could be achieved in your own kitchen. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, go for churros and chocolate, or if savoury is your thing, why not try potato cake and chargrilled courgettes? Dehesa is the place to go if you want to try gorgeous dishes that are rarely seen on brunch menus.
The Black Penny
The Black Penny is a cheery café with an irresistible menu, which ranges from brioche to the British classic bubble and squeak. Although this place is on the pricey side, the attention to detail combined with ingredients of the highest quality more than justify its prices. With a selection of premium magazines on offer, this is the ideal spot to relax for an entire afternoon!
Herman ze German
Herman ze German is home to the best German sausage in London, but the weekend-only brunch has far more on offer. This brunch menu features sourdough topped with fresh ginger and two fried eggs served with ham. The bright, airy space is the perfect space to forget about the troubles of a hectic week.
Beany Green
At this Australian café in Broadgate Circus, it’s brunch time all day all weekend. This contemporary haunt are known for experimenting with new flavours throughout their weekend menu. In typical Aussie style, avocado is king, and is served with an endless variety of fresh breads. With avocado and chilli, we recommend the ‘Bondi Breakfast’.
Mac & Wild
If you’re a little hungover after a few too many the night before as you enter this Scottish restaurant, go for the Scooby Snack, a sandwich that was created to destroy even the most stubborn of hangovers. Packed with three types of pork, a gooey fried egg and a potato scone, it won’t disappoint. If you’re feeling fresh, there are healthier options here, too, including succulent salmon with scrambled eggs and, of course, avocado on toast. Don’t miss the three different types of bloody Mary - one of which features tequila!
